Evan Bell, 26, of Lincoln, son of Jim and Brenda Bell, passed away in his sleep on Oct. 11, 2019.

He is survived by his precious dog Coco, his parents, brother Bryce and fiancée (Lauren Peck), grandmother Shirley Troutman, aunt Dara Troutman, uncle Brent Troutman (Tami), aunt Kathleen Vollmer (Ron), uncle John Bell (Nancy) and numerous great aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved dogs Bud and agility first-place champion Talon, his grandfather Darrell Troutman, grandparents John and Cecelia Bell, aunt Susan Olson (Jerry), and uncle Clint Troutman.

Evan graduated from Lincoln East High School and Kaplan University. He was an entrepreneur from a young age, building and selling Legos on eBay and later starting a lawn mowing business and selling books online. Following graduation, he became a transport and logistics specialist, owning his own moving labor company, and recently fulfilled his life-long dream of owning a pizza restaurant.

Evan had a heart of gold and as a child took great joy in giving toys to the firefighters during their toy drives and stuffed animals to the paramedics and police to give to traumatized children for comfort. He loved purchasing Christmas presents for children from the giving tree at church. He frequently pulled a red wagon around Edenton with his brother and their friends collecting food for the Food Bank. He would include extra Lego people in his shipments to surprise his customers. As an adult, he would provide moving services to people for free if they didn’t have the funds to pay him and often opened his home to others in need of shelter and food.
