Christopher Lee Riblett was born September 17th, 1983 in Fort Worth, Texas to Bettie and Mac Riblett. Soon after he would have a little brother Nathan Leroy. In 1984 their family would move back to Lincoln, Nebraska. Chris was dedicated to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church by Pastor Terry Bock in 1987. Around that time Chris and Nathan would begin traveling to Omaha for muscular dystrophy progress appointments with Bettie along with their Grandma Ruth Hohl and Aunt Julie. The boys had a rare form of MD called Charcot-Marie-Tooth or CMT and they attended several MDA summer camps.

Chris began school at Calvert Elementary moving on to Irving Middle School, Lincoln High School and ultimately graduating from Job Corp.

Throughout his childhood Chris always gravitated towards technology, so much so that he received his first laptop from the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

One of Chris’s favorite pastimes was going camping with his brother and other friends and traveling anywhere he could. Chris loved visiting museums and taking any opportunity to learn and expand his mind. Chris and Nate were avid gamers, many times playing different video games right next to each other. Chris was constantly reading as a kid and as an adult he would always try to read the book before going to see the movie version.

Chris always stood up for what he believed in and he was a staunch supporter of doing the right thing and protecting those who needed it.

Celebration of Christopher’s life is on Saturday, December 18th, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the College View Seventh-day Adventist Church, 48th and Prescott Avenue in Lincoln, Nebraska.  The service will be held in the Heritage Room.
