Dr. Leonard R. Lee, born May 29, 1922 in Oregon and went home to be with our Lord on March 8, 2023. Highlights of his life include being Student Body President at La Grande High School in Oregon; attended Northwestern University in Illinois on scholarship; Sr. Class President of Medical School; Married to Jeanne Fay in 1944; Director of Medical Education at Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln; Diplomate American Board of Internal Medicine; First Oncologist-Hematologist in Lincoln; father of sons Jeffrey and Jonathan; and a 39 year retirement.

Dad was a very brilliant and complicated man. Our family is so proud of Dad as a great doctor full of compassion. We are ever so grateful also that he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior a week before he met Him. He has the rest of eternity to learn about, love and be more like Jesus. We are so happy for him.

No service. Leonard and Jeanne will be laid to rest in the Omaha National Cemetery in the future.

Memorials to Havelock Manor Assisted Living that loved and cared for him so diligently. Send memorials to 6330 Platte Ave., Lincoln, NE 68507.

We are so grateful to so many others starting with his grandson Jason who loved him to the end, to Holly at St. E’s Hospice for the wonderful care and making Dad’s life so much more comfortable, thanks to CCA for going an extra mile caring for Dad, for Kay Dewell for writing notes every week to Dad while in Havelock Manor and a special thanks to Dad’s good friend who visited him weekly, Becky Walkowiak. We were all very blessed.
