Maxine Lucile Laschanzky

Maxine Lucile Laschanzky, 85, passed away on November 8th, 2019 in Lincoln, NE.

Maxine was born February 3, 1934 to Ralph and Olive Schoch outside of Grafton, Nebraska and raised on a farm there.  She went to high school at Grafton High School and was a cheerleader.  She also raised her own calves for 4-H and loved playing the piano and playing cards with friends.  She was most known for cutting coupons and going to stores to get the best deals where she also enjoyed talking to people and they all knew her by name.

She worked at Hinky Dinky as a meat wrapper and at Sysco.  She loved to remodel homes and had rental properties.  She was passionate about spending time with her family and friends.  She enjoyed going to McDonald’s with Norma and other friends for breakfast.  She enjoyed baking, especially banana bread with no nuts, peanut butter cookies, and any other special requests.  Maxine made sure to be a great friend to everyone and do anything for them.  She was also passionate about watching the Nebraska Volleyball team play on TV.

Maxine is survived by her children Larry Laschanzky, Lincoln, Connie Lahm, Denton, grandkids Amber (Aaron) Buell and daughter Tori – Wahoo, Loren (Kim) Laschankzy, and son Peyton – Lincoln, Klinton Laschanzky, and daughter Hayden – Lincoln, Pat (Amanda) Lahm, and son Pete – Denton, Elizabeth Borgman (Chad Buhr), and daughter Presleigh and sons Grayson and Jake – Adams, Riley Laschanzky, and son Kyler – Lincoln, Dustin (Chuvy) Laschanzky and daughters Kamila and Zoey – Chicago, IL, brother Wayne, and special friend Linda Scott, Lincoln.

She was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Laschanzky, parents Ralph and Olive Shoch.

Gravesite celebration of life with family and friends: 1 p.m. Monday, November 18th, Rosehill Cemetary in Waverly.  Cremation.  No visitation.  Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Janet G. Lyons

Janet G. Lyons, born July 20, 1937, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2019.

Dedicated friend, Mother, and Grandmother – she was simply phenomenal in her own right.

Jan spent her life enjoying the little things and made certain everyone around her did as well. She treasured smiles, laughter, happiness, and sunshine. She was known for her altruistic spirit, devoted love, and a trusty, fun-loving humor.

Jan was surrounded by numerous friends while working for the Department of Motor Vehicles for nearly 30 years before retiring in 2000. She lived out her remaining years consuming an abundance of love & amazement from her family, while soaking in as much life and joy as she could.

She was humbly made; an unclaimed teacher of selflessness and unconditional love.

One who will be deeply missed and consistently celebrated.

Paul Keith Larson

Paul retired from Bryan West after 25 years as their carpenter. His hobbies included taking trips on his motorcycle and spending time in his workshop creating various projects.

He is survived by his wife Lonnie, his stepsons Justin Wilhelm, Jeremy (Erin) Wilhelm and four grandchildren Makenna Rose, Tessa Lee, Jasper James and Dawson Hibbert Wilhelm.  He was also survived by his brother Oscar (Butch) Larson of Verdon, NE and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Bessie Larson of Verdon, NE; his half-sister Thelma Jhun and his half-brother Kenny Dappen.

As per Paul’s request, there will be no viewing or funeral service.
