William (Bill) J. Shewey, 70, a beloved caring and hardworking man, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, in his home in Lincoln, Nebraska. Born on November 13, 1954 in Wichita, Kansas to late Joseph Shewey and Margaret Ruby. Bill drove a truck from east to west in his younger days. Bill eventually stopped driving a truck to settle down, focus on playing music, and be with his family. Bill was a very loved and needed man.

Bill had a commitment ceremony with the love of his life, Kathy Cash, in 2014, and together they shared a lot of love until his passing. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Cash; His sisters, Bobbie Martin and Verna Rippeto; His children, Chrissy and Christopher Hier, David Radke, Danny Shewey, Jamie Graham and Steve Messing, and his little brown dog Wilma. Bill leaves behind 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Shewey and Margaret Ruby; his siblings, Mary Phelps, Brenda Neumeister, Vickey Rippeto, and Daniel Lang; His son, Larry Shewey.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 20th, 2025, at the Eagles Club, located at 600 1st Corso Nebraska City, NE.
