Willa Jean Loos

Willa Jean (Benner) Loos, 96, of Lincoln NE went to be with our Lord on Sunday April 7th, 2024 surrounded by her family

 

Willa was born June 24, 1927 in Lincoln.  She married Richard Loos on 05-17-53, who were introduced by a mutual friend, and began their married life in The Russian Bottoms.  In 1968 they moved their family of four to Scottsbluff NE with Kings Food Host.  

 

Willa resided in western Nebraska for the next 38 years, where she raised two sons, was actively involved in her church, and built a rewarding career with Panhandle COOP.   Willa’s love for life, and gift of gab, contributed to her being known by many throughout the Platte Valley Region. She relocated back to Lincoln in 2015 to be closer to family and friends.

 

Willa attended Lincoln High School (Class of 1945), and was a member of the Girls Athletic Association (Softball, Basketball, Track).  She was a member of Immanuel Church, Immanuel Lamb’s Club, and Lifetime member of W.S.I.

 

Willa is survived by sons/daughters-in-law – Richard and Erin Loos (Oahu HI), Todd and Norma “Jeannie” Loos (Lincoln NE) Grandchildren; Conley, Alexandra, Matt, James, Ryan, Taylor, Lucas, Hunter, Jordan, Todd Jr, Emily, Alea, and (16) Sixteen great grandchildren.  Sister-in-law /brother-in-law – Velma and Don Nielsen of Lincoln, and numerous nieces /nephews.

 

A Graveside Memorial will be on Friday April 12, 2024 at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery from 9:00am -10:00 am. Reception to follow (Friday April 12, 2024 / 11:00am-2:00 pm) at W.S.I Hall: 1430 N 10th Street, Lincoln, NE 68508.
