Wesley Duane Coffin

Wesley Duane Coffin, aged 67, shuffled off to his next life in Lincoln Nebraska on November 20, 2025, surrounded by many who loved him.
He was born September 19, 1958, in Omaha Nebraska to William Coffin and Joycee Jaynes (Cooper). Wess graduated high school in Ashland Nebraska then worked for Square D/Schneider Electric in Lincoln for several years. He left Lincoln in 1993 and eventually made his home in Denver Colorado, settling into hotel management. Retiring in 2020, he moved back to Lincoln where he greatly enjoyed his part time job at Tobacco Shack. Wess made friends wherever he went. You would be very hard pressed to find anyone who didn’t absolutely adore him.
He lived his life authentically and had infectious laugh. Wess was also the human daddy to many beloved cats over his lifetime. He is greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his siblings, nieces & nephews, and numerous friends whom he had for several decades.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, his treasured grandparents, his step dad Jack Jaynes, and his brother Joel Pruden.
Wess touched more lives than he would ever imagine and he will be forever remembered and mourned by many.

Farewell Wes…..we had many talks whether on the phone or out and about. I will miss those times. Fly high my friend until we meet again!!

I’m sure you and Connie Hensley are catching up and dancing on the clouds along with all the other wonderful past co-workers who greeted you. I only worked with Wess for a short time when he moved back to Lincoln, but he always stopped by to see me and hang out. He always made my day and sure knew how to keep me laughing. Rest easy, friend.
