Thomas LuVerne Sawyer

Thomas Sawyer, 58, of Hickman, Nebraska passed away peacefully at home on Thursday June 9^th surrounded by loved ones.

Tom was born September 13^th, 1963 in Fremont, Nebraska to LuVerne and Betty Sawyer. He graduated from Fremont Senior High, and went on to Southeast Community College in Milford, Nebraska for surveying and drafting. He started working at the Nebraska Department of Roads and was there several years. He then started to work at Kirkham Michael and JEO Consulting Group, ending his career back at the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

On August 24, 1984, Tom married Pamela Spes in Fremont, Nebraska. Tom enjoyed sailing, being on his fishing boat, wood working, and being with his pool team where he was a captain for several years.

Tom’s survivors include; Wife Pam, son Kyle (Kalli) Sawyer of Omaha, Nebraska; Son Garrett (Caitlin) Sawyer of Dorchester, Nebraska; and Daughter Morgan (Tim) Onwiler of Windsor, Colorado; ten beautiful grandchildren: Caden, Emmi, Jack, and Rori Sawyer; Lydia, Levi, and Laklyn Sawyer; Elijah, Jonah, and Noah Onwiler. Tom also left behind sister LuAnn (Paul) Dritley, brother Jeff (Cindy) Sawyer and many nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents LuVerne and Betty Sawyer.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 on Tuesday, June 14th at Lincoln Berean Church, 6400 South 70th Street, Lincoln, NE. He requests that NO ties be worn.
