Tom was a straightforward courteous and easy going person. A good listener and respectful thinker. He truly represented the the stature and professionalism of a lawman. I knew him best when we worked third shift at LPD. Worked with him on a few calls for service. RIP My condolences.
Condolences to Toms Family. Tom was a good friend from our early days on Logan St. in Wayne, NE. Many memories of our lives in Wayne and beyond.
He will be missed. One day Tom and I decided we were going to enlist in the army. It wasn’t long after that time that we were on a train headed to Ft. Bliss Tx. We joined on the buddy plan but parted company when Tom decided to jump out of air plains. 🙂 101st airborne. That ended the buddy plan. Sorry Tom.
Tommy was a great co-worker and friend. He was a very compassionate, caring, go with the flow person. We were working together on Northeast team when he retired from LPD and we continued to meet Saturday mornings for coffee long after he retired, Tommy I will miss you!
My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Just last week I drove down Fremont Street and thought of you and your family!
I do not usually look at the newspaper and for some reason I was drawn to it today when I walked into the break room.
I can only it was heaven sent message that took me to the obituary page first thing.
I could not believe my eyes when I saw the name of my dads dearest friend, Mr Tommy Addison starring back at me.
We can only offer my our sincere sympathy and condolences to his family (our friends) at this time and let you all know that although time took its toll on our closeness after dad (Lyle) passed & Tommy moved from Fremont street in Lincoln _ We would still to this day do anything we can for you all.
Please let us know if there is any thing you are needing (Jamie & Drew should know how to reach us still).
Hugs, prayers, and loves to each and every one of you.
Tommy you will be missed here on earth, and I’m sure Dad and you are going over many great memories up there in Heaven 🙂
I know we will be down here tonight as well!!!
I’m sorry to read of Tom’s passing, and offer my sympathy, and condolences, to his family. I knew Tom for many years, as a fellow-officer on the Lincoln Police Dept. He was a kind-hearted and respected officer.
My sympathy to the family of Tom and to all those of us who knew and loved the man he was. His smile will forever be in my memories. He was a loyal friend and a kind man. I’ll always remember the days he, Bill, and Gary had great times as roommates.
If you are lucky in life, you meet at least one person to be a friend for life. I was so lucky as to meet Tom at age 9 and to have him as a “best” friend ever since. Many know his good qualities – but his friendship was far more than good. He was the BEST!
My heartfelt conolences to the family of my good friend Tom Addison. We went to Wayne High together. Bob McLean and Bruce Jorgensen were also classmates who have written messages on this site. The four of us were great friends and did many fun things together. What memories we could recall when we all got together at high school class reunions. RIP Tom.
