Teodora (Tina) Torres, 77, passed away peacefully on June 5th in her Lincoln home,
surrounded by her loving family. Tina was born in Havana Cuba to Antonio Perez and Carmen Aquila Perez. Preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Torres. The couple
resided in Florida for many happy years then moved to Lincoln, Nebraska. Tina is survived by her three children: Stella (Donna) Salas Correa, Richard (Theresa) Betancourt, and Carmen Arguello.
Her grandchildren include: Chris Gonzalez, Ryan (Kim) Peterson, Sean Catalanotto, Ashley Peterson, Chelsea (Taylor) Ford,
Courtney (Corey) Miller, Elliot Paul, and Cadence Gonzalez. Tina was blessed with seven great grandchildren.
She cherished family and togetherness throughout her life. Tina had a very energetic spirit and shared her compassion for living. At Tina’s request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Capital Humane Society of Lincoln. Our family wishes to thank Horisun Hospice and Tina’s dear friends, Denise, Debbie and Doug for their care and support. We are humbled by the compassion and prayers of friends, coworkers, and family, during our dear mother’s last days.

The world is dimmer place with the passing of Tina. My deepest condolences to her children Carmen,Estella and Richard. Your mother’s love and devotion was an inspiration to all who witnessed her life’s journey and passing.
I will miss her deeply and feel so blessed that we met. She was a strong,loving and generous woman. She loved life. Her courage and determination was evident in all she did.
Her children,grandchildren and great grandchildren possess the best pieces of her. I am thankful she will live on through them.
I just learned of Miss Tina’s passing. I’m a neighbor and I frequently stopped and visited with Miss Tina on morning walks. She was a delightful women. I’m so sorry for your loss.
