We will always remember Sylvia (and Paul) while we were new Lieutenant’s at Long Beach. They took us under their wing and encouraged us in our ministry. We enjoyed visiting their home and having meals and wonderful fellowship. They loved and cared for Rick and I and our young family. They were good teachers and encouragers as we fulfilled our calling as Salvation Army officers. She was a good and faithful servant. Prayers for His peace and comfort to Marie, Paul and Mark and family.

I met Sylvia at Coddington where she resided with my dad, Gene. Sylvia was such a fun lady and I always enjoyed visiting with her, She always watched out for my dad and they seemed to have a special friendship. When he was passing, she came into his room to say goodbye and said such a nice prayer for us. It was the sweetest gesture and I will never forget it. May she rest in peace.

What a sweet lady. We shared the alto section for a while at Long Beach in band and songsters. I like to visualize Sylvia and Paul and Randall playing heavenly band music.
