Steven Andrew Path
Steven Andrew Path,48 of Lincoln, NE passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 6, 2018 due to complications from pneumonia.
He was born in North Platte, NE on December 6,1969 to Robert J Path and Sandra K (Johnson) Novak. Steve grew up in McCook and Lincoln NE. He graduated from Lincoln High School and studied at University of Nebraska- Lincoln.
Steve worked in the medical field as a Certified Nursing Assistant/medication aide. He had a very special talent for working with the elderly. His gentle, kind, and compassionate nature served him well as he touched many of his patients lives.
Steve enjoyed reading and movies, he especially loved those with the themes of science fiction, magic, and super natural. He loved all kinds of animals and they loved him back. Even though Steve suffered with several medical ailments he always made time for his family and friends, even if it was just to lend an ear. He was a really good listener and always had words of comfort or suggestions. Steve belonged to online support groups and his insights, positivity and inspirational quotes will be greatly missed.
Survived by his mother Sandra K. Novak, sisters Sally Amador and Amy (Eric) Gydesen. Three nieces, Alexandria (Ray) Campbell, Melissa Amador, and Megan Gydesen. Two nephews, Anthony Amador and Ethan Gydesen. Two great nieces, Hailey and Harper Campbell. Two step- sisters, Cindy (Dave) Dame, Brenda (Doug) Hofman. Two step- brothers Ron (Carmen) Novak, and Gerald (Kristi) Novak and families.
Preceded in death by father Robert J Path. Grandparents Glen and Nellie Johnson, and Eli and Lola Path. Step-father Marvin D Novak.
Steve was a gentle soul with the biggest heart. Steve will be remembered by all whose lives he touched, but will be forgotten by none. May you now rest in peace without any pain my loving brother, we love you always and forever.
A Celebration of Life Service was held on February 23, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the North Platte Cemetery on West Rodeo Rd, Highway 30 North Platte, NE 69101. The family gathered at Mallory’s Restaurant at 402 N Dewey St immediately following the service if anyone would like to join us, all are welcome.
