Dear Kami, Brian, Logan & All the families of Sherry.
These 3 were a part of my life also, thanks to their beautiful mother and grandmother. My deepest and most loving thoughts and condolences to all of you.
No one knows us better than our mothers. They can look into our hearts and souls somehow. Sherry indeed did this, with so much love and devotion to each and every one of her children. I know, as Sherry, was one of my dearest friends for 58 years.
We shared so very, very much together, even before you “kids” came along. We met when 18 and 23, @ Woodmen Accident and Life Insurance Co. I moved away, but through marriages, raising kids, divorces, and back to being single, we shared and always stayed together via mail and phone calls and visits. OH what beautiful and loving memories. Then Duane and Tony entered our lives. The Love of Our Lives, and our Lives were complete. GOD sure has Glorious plans, here came our grandchildren and more family. Then, we faced our losses together, just as we did our Joys! She lost her sweetheart first, and 8 years later my love also passed away. So, back to Lincoln on weekends.
Me moving back to Lincoln were to be “Our Golden Years”, since we were both widows. That was the plan, and it was until God called Sherry HOME to be with HIM, (and Duane and Tony). You were the BEST Sherry. The very best. Best daughter to your aging mother who lived with you for some time. Best mother, wife and Grandmother. And you even let me share your “first” grandson, Ryker with you during my visits with you. Your two beautiful “kids”, Brian and Kami, living proof of what a beautiful mother you’ve been. Now it’s time for you to Rest in Peace, for a Job Well Done, Sherry!!
I already miss you more than words can say, but I will always have 58 yrs of giggles, love and Blessed Memories of you tucked away in my heart. This is rather long but you can’t yell at me now. ha! OUR life-long Friendship was long and Oh So Wonderful.
Goodnight my dear friend, my prayers and love are with you and your family today and always.
“Sudrla”, as Brian loved to call me. XO
Brian, Kami and family. Heaven gained an angel, I hope she entertains everyone up there like she did here on earth, with her humor, and that beautiful dimpled smile. Sherry you will be missed. God Bless your soul.
