Marie E. Waters
It is with great sadness we announce that last Sunday (Dec 4), Marie Elizabeth Waters passed peacefully at the Elizabeth House in Lincoln Nebraska with her family by her side. She was 87.
Marie was born in Lake Mary Florida to the late Mary and Leonard Shriner on December 27, 1934. Marie was a praying woman who loved her family and friends. Sharing her faith in Jesus is an important part of her legacy as well as her joyful singing of hymns. Marie acted as an important hub, keeping her scattered family members in touch with each other.
In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Harget; brothers, Wayne, Clifford, Charles, and Lewis; son, Mark; grandsons Michael, Joey, and Daniel.
Marie is survived by her children, George (Pauline), and Mary Ruth; grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth, Jessica, Aaron, and Kristen; 8 great grandchildren; and her brothers, Leonard, and Walter.
A spring memorial will be held along the banks of the French Broad River in her beloved mountains of North Carolina.

Condolences for Marie E. Waters
Mary, we are sorry for your loss, you have our deepest sympathy. I always enjoyed visiting with Marie, when we came to visit you. I know you were close to her! You will miss her much, so remember the happy times, with her and your grandpa. May she RIP
My prayers and thoughts go out to the family at this difficult time.
Marie and I were real pals. Actually my mother and she were first cousins. (So that makes me related to her also.) Marie would phone my mother now and then and after Mom passed away, she and I started visiting. Even though ill and infirm, she was a bright lady. We had many conversations about many topics and she was helpful to me. We also talked about her first love, who is the Lord Jesus Christ. We had prayer time together on the phone also. I will miss her very much but she is now with the Lord who she loved so very much, and not suffering any more. May the Lord give you comfort at this time Elizabeth and family. My heart is with you all. Bonnie.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family in this difficult time. May she RIP
