Marcelo Hernaldo Arévalo-Saez
October 30, 1981-November 1, 2024
We are sorry to announce the sensitive death of our beloved son, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. Marcelo “Chelo” Hernaldo Arévalo-Saez, 43, of Lincoln Nebraska, passed away peacefully surrounded by the tenderness of his friends and family and is now playing his music in Heaven.
Marcelo was born October 30, 1981 in Valdivia, Chile. In 2004, he moved to the United States to start a new journey with his former wife, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Over the years, Marcelo lovingly shared his passions and talents of music, culinary arts, painting, and humor with all of those around him.
Marcelo lived in Boston, Omaha, Des Moines, Iowa and Northern Colorado and returned to the heartland, his home, Lincoln, Nebraska. Everywhere Marcelo went, he made friends and gave back to his community, playing with various music groups, working for non-profits, and local restaurants.
Marcelo is survived by his “Sweetheart” daughter Maya Arévalo-Miller, parents, siblings, siblings-in-law, nieces and nephews and his extended family of so many “Amigos” from around the world.
