Linda Kay Ridlington

featured image

Linda Kay Ridlington, age 67, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on January 5, 2024. Linda was born on December 19, 1956, in Grand Haven, MI, to the late Delbert Winters and Bessie Gordon. She was the loving wife of the late Jewel “Bo” McDaniel.

Linda was a strong-willed and independent woman who loved her three sons, Paul, Brian, and Richard, dearly. She fought bravely against breast cancer and survived, only to be later diagnosed with Leukemia due to the treatments she underwent. Linda continued to fight with unwavering determination but unfortunately, she ultimately succumbed to the illness.

Linda worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for most of her life, dedicating herself to caring for others. She was truly passionate about her career and made a positive impact on the lives of those she cared for.

In her free time, Linda enjoyed playing cards, thrift store shopping, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. These hobbies brought her joy and allowed her to unwind from the demands of her busy life.

Linda will be deeply missed by her surviving family members, including her sons Paul Winters, Brian Winters (Danielle), and Richard Winters (Clarisse). She is also survived by her loving granddaughter Kendra Winters, her brothers Joe Winters, Danny Hyma, and Randy Barton, and various nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her grandparents, her Mother Bessie and Father Delbert, her sisters Betty Webb, Judy Arrendondo, Barbara VanTil and Donna Hyma, and her brothers Robert Winters and Delbert “Boat” Winters.

Linda was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Holland, MI, where she found solace and strength in her faith.

There will be no visitation or services held in Linda’s Memory.

Linda Kay Ridlington will be remembered for her unwavering strength, her love for her family, and her dedication to caring for others. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
