Dad was a very brilliant and complicated man. Our family is so proud of Dad as a great doctor full of compassion. We are ever so grateful also that he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior a week before he met Him. He has the rest of eternity to learn about, love and be more like Jesus. We are so happy for him.
No service. Leonard and Jeanne will be laid to rest in the Omaha National Cemetery in the future.

Condolences for Leonard R. Lee, MD
Sorry, I am with you.
My heart goes out to Leonard’s family as you mourn his passing. Dr. Lee and Jeanne were among my favorites when they were living at the Landing. So kind, so fun and so intelligent . Dr. Lee helped a lot of his fellow residents with medical advice, too. I loved seeing them when he brought Jeannie over to play bridge after they moved. I am so grateful that his heart turned to the Lord Jesus….what joy for all of God’s beloved ones! May they both rest in God’s peace and may your family be comforted with resurrection hope!
Leonard Lee was my grandmother’s brother and held a very special place in my heart. He was A great man. He made the world a better place. Now he and Jeanne are reunited. Love to all.

I am sorry about your loss. Dr. Lee lived a long and good life. Still, his death is a sadness for so many who knew and loved him.
He was an excellent physician and had a positive impact on the lives of his patients and families. He was one of my mentors. He taught me about the diseases of cancer and its emotional impact on those it touched. His wisdom and guidance helped me continue to be an Oncology nurse for many years. I will never forget him for all he did for me.
May God give you grace and peace during this time. You have my heartfelt sympathy.
You likely don’t know me … Jean’s mother Bess and her sister Mildred were my grandfather’s cousins. I adored them, and Vince and Ruel. My grandparent’s were Fred & Doris Schmitt.
I met Jean & Len once in the early 80s while on a cross country road trip. I contacted them wanting to have a meal with them and ended up spending about 5 days with them. Very memorable. During that trip I also visited Auntie Bess & Auntie Mil, and went out with Muriel for a night of Bingo.
And although that was the only time I ever met Jean & Len in person, my mother always had regular contact with them. Not sure how recently she last talked with Len … I think about a year ago.
Anyway, he was a good man! May he rest in peace.
