Leon Robert McLaughlin

Leon R McLaughlin, 84, passed away in Lincoln, Nebraska on March 12, 2024. He was born in Dorchester, Nebraska on February 25, 1940 to Elsie & Robert McLaughlin. In 1989, he married (Gloria) Jean Nidever. He served in the US Army.

Leon is survived by his sister Carol (Victor) Sorge; grandchildren Hannah & Ayden Tuttle; brother-in-law Les (Lois) Little; former son-in-law Dave (There- sa) Tuttle; beloved fur baby Maizie; and many relatives & friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; daughter Christy Tuttle; brother Larry McLaughlin; sisters-in-law Karen Tilton, Linda (Marvin) Long, & Anita Knowles; and cousin Thomas Hohl.

Memorial service will be Tuesday, April 2 at 1 p.m. at Saint Paul United Methodist Church, 1144 M St., in Lincoln with Rev. Jane Florence officiating. There will be a reception to follow, at the church.

Family will have a private inurnment at Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
