Born 6-20-1959 – 10-11-2025

Born in Jonestown, MS. to Walter Lee Bumper & Bennie Mae Bumper (McMillan)
Larry attended Jonestown Elementary & Aggie High school.
He worked mainly in carpentry and grounds keeper. But could build and fix anything.
Larry has always been a real loving character who just loved fun, laughter and full of jokes. He touched many lives with his generosity and passion for life.
He leaves 2 daughters and son in-law, Christy Baker (Williams) & Curtis Baker of Lincoln Ne. and Brianna Thomas of Memphis TN. 7 Grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. One sister Brenda Bumper of Nashville TN. Special cousin/brother, London Sykes, and a host of friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Joyce.

A Fallen Limb
A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls.
