Ernest Kenneth Stanczyk
Ernest Kenneth Stanczyk died peacefully on November 7, 2024, at the age of 79, at his home in Beatrice, Nebraska. Kenny was born on January 12, 1945 to Ernest and Madelon Stanczyk in Abilene, Texas.
He is survived by his children, Marci Reffert (Rod), Randi Aksamit (Doug), Sean Stanczyk (Barb). His grandchildren, Robin and Brooke Rathbone, Zachary (Alexandria) and Abigail Stanczyk. He had three great grandchildren.
Kenny graduated from St. Paul high school in 1963 and went onto Milford trade school to learn auto body repair. He served with the US Army guard 259th unit, in 1968–69 as staff sergeant of ordinance explosives. He bravely fought for his country in Vietnam, serving in Dadang and Chu Lai for 18 months. Kenny made his career working for the Union Pacific Railroad as an engineer for 36 years.
Kenny was cremated as per his wishes; the family will hold a Memorial Service at a later date and time, to be determined.
