Kay Jean Brown

Kay Jean Brown (Thompson) lost her battle with cancer on July 21, 2020.

Kay is survived by her husband Roger, 3 children, Gary Brown (Wendy) of Lincoln, Kimberly Cover (Scott) of Littleton, Colorado, James Brown (Tracy) of Littleton, Colorado, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Kay was a 1956 graduate of Northeast High and she and Roger owned and operated Handyman True Value Hardware of Lincoln and Seward True Value of Seward for a number of years. After moving to Conifer, Colorado in 1983, they owned and operated Conifer Paint and Decorating and Aspen Park Paint and Decorating for 10 years. After “retiring” from that, Kay managed the craft department for Hobby Lobby in Littleton, Colorado for 10 years before moving back to Lincoln. Kay loved crafting, sewing, and spending time with her family which she loved dearly.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Kay’s name could be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or ASPCA (Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
