Condolences for Kate Williams
Kate,
Have a good journey. We will always love you.
Your uncle Jim
My sympathy and love to your family.
Sorry for your loss, as it truly is. Such a bright light in this world that has been extinguished. Kate was a very caring person and I’m so glad I got the chance to be a small part of her life.
Kate,
You entered my life as a spelling partner in fourth grade and you leave it as a longtime friend. I will miss your passion for life and your incredible sense of humor. Thank you for being an inspiration. You will always be remembered.
To the Family of Kate Williams:
I met Kate in my role as a realtor, helping her sell her home on 40th Street so she could move on to her next venture. We had fun getting ready for open houses, with moments of laughter, trust and sharing about our lives.
Kate wore her heart on her sleeve. She was matter of fact with me about who she was. I was equally matter of fact that I am a conservative, evangelical Christian. Kate replied “Well, then we’ll get along just fine!” And she was right. We had great conversations on many subjects, including faith, and she was always open and receptive in listening to my views. I did the same as she explained her points of view on life, and we became close friends.
Kate would share pictures of her family and talk affectionately about her love for all of you. She introduced me to her friends. She would call and run entrepreneurial ideas by me. Kate loved art, loved the Sunken Gardens neighborhood, and would tell me about issues and organizations she believed in with passion and conviction.
I want you all to know I adored her humor, her stories of her past business helping others in her home, and her convictions in what she believed to be true in life. We spoke several times after the 40th Street home was sold, and she seemed happy with the trajectory of her life at the time. I regrettably lost touch after that when her cell phone number was changed. I will always think fondly of your Kate!
I pray for all of you in your grieving and loss, and I pray for your peace in her passing.
With love and respect for her life,
Tammy Peter
Dear Eric
I am so extremely sorry it took so long to reach out to you .
I have always been extremely scared of Facebook. Unfortunately, Kate was the 1st friend I wanted to seek out. And I just saw it last night.
I would love it if you could send me some pics?
Kate and I were always so close cause of being adopted. I don’t know if you remember me?
I, Julie Augustine, went to Pound and Southeast.
Kate–I miss you so very very much! I can’t believe 5 years have quietly slipped by since your passing. You were 1 of the coolest, sexiest, smartest, funniest, and most interesting people I’ve EVER MET! You were my friend, lover and role model. We shared a love of pets, plants, fashion, and MADONNA! CHICAGO–3RD ROW BABY!! Then we went dancing ’till 6am at a huge cool gay bar AND MADONNA’S BACKUP DANCERS showed up to dance! I still have the concert shirt and wear it when I’m missing you. I’m so grateful our paths crossed because you brought so much fun and color and LIFE to my world! You will ALWAYS BE AN ICON to me! Sarah Schupbach
