Joshua Kelley Anderson
Joshua Kelley Anderson, 43, passed away peacefully in his home January 10, 2025 after fighting a courageous battle of colon cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. Josh was born March 21, 1981 in Lincoln to Linda and Kelley Anderson. He married Natalie Vesterfelt in Lincoln on September 25, 2017. They were parents to their adorable dogs, Winston and Felix.
Josh graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School in 1999. After graduation, Josh was employed at Hy-Vee where he began his career in customer service. He then transitioned his passion of customer satisfaction to the food service industry where he was a waiter and chef at Vincenzo’s before joining the family business, The Roadhouse. Josh’s kindness and infectious smile (inherited from his mother) and witty humor and “gift of gab” (inherited from his father) attracted customers, who in turn became “regulars, a.k.a friends”. Josh continued attracting customers throughout his career, lastly at U Stop Convenience where he worked up until the last month of his life.
Josh grew up loving music as his family did. He also loved reading, writing, gaming, watching British Television (especially Dr. Who), playing with his animals, and spending time with family. He also had a love for sweets, which worked out well as his wife Natalie adored cooking and baking for him.
Joshua has left behind many who adored him, especially his wife Natalie, mother Linda, sisters Lori Rieschick, Shannon Anderson, Tiffany (Joe) Keithley, brother Ryan (Holly) Rieschick , nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, aunts, an uncle and countless friends, especially longtime friends Tyler (Mandy) Richardson and Collin (Myrna) Emmons. He was preceded in death by his father Kelley, grandparents, uncle and mother-in-law.
