Jo Ann York

Born: February 2, 1948
Passed away: January 17, 2025

She dedicated her life to Jehovah on February 10, 1974. She remained faithful to Jehovah right up to her death. She was dearly loved, not only by her immediate family, but by her spiritual family as well.

She is survived by two sisters: Jean Marie Stevens, and Janet Bernice Adair from Irwinton, Ga, four brothers: John Jay York from Nebraska City, NE, Jack Allen York and Judson Rist York from Lincoln, NE, Jeffery Gale York York, NE, also many nephews and nieces.

We are inviting family and friends to Jo Ann’s Memorial Service at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 15, 2025 at The Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah Witnesses, 3606 N 1st Street, Lincoln, NE 68521.

    The resurrection hope is real as demonstrated by Jesus when he was on the earth.

    We never really lose the ones we love because that love is filled with memories and those memories become treasures in our hearts. My prayers are that those treasures and the resurrection hope she loved lightens your sorrows.

    To the family of JoAnn, I am so sorry to hear about her passing. I will never forget the friendship we had together, she was so caring and so upbeat. I will truly miss seeing and talking to her. We will see her again in the new world. I will be praying for you all.
