James Joseph Petracek “Jim”
James J. Petracek “Jim” was born on November 13, 1940 in Crete, older son of Joseph and Lillian (Javorsky) Petracek and brother to Bob. Jim died peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 22, 2025.
Jim is survived by his wife Sue (Hartman), son Billy, daughters Christy (Anthony) Flores, and Laurie, sisters-in-law Barb Petracek, Kathy Page and brother-in-law Bob (Krystyn) Hartman,
grandchildren, additional family members and a host of friends.
Jim is preceded in death by parents and brother.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, May 1st, 2025 at The Isles Reception Hall from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Husker attire will be appropriate!
The family wishes memorials to SCOYF Optimist Youth Sports Complex. The family wishes to thank AseraCare Hospice for the wonderful care we received for the comfort of Jim’s last days.
