Jeffery L, Herrington, Sr. (Big Daddy)
Jeffery L Herrington, Sr. (Big Daddy) passed away December 21, 2020 peacefully at home in Lincoln after long battle with lung issues, non-covid related.
Jeff was born in Lincoln to Ronald and Patty (Shaw) Herrington, was a Belmont Boy at heart, and never forgot where he came from. He loved college football and had the hat collection to prove it. He also loved NASCAR and dirt track late model racing and was able to travel to different tracks around the country. He was also a great vacation planner and loved a good road trip to nowhere in particular with good music, family and friends to keep him company. He retired from Goodyear in 2007 after 30 years of service.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 27 years Tammie; son Jeff Herrington, Jr (JJ); and father Ron Herrington; brother and sisters Rick (Ellyn) Herrington, Jackie (Bob) Furasek, and Penny Herrington; in-laws Cheryl and Howard Harms, sister-in-law and spouse, Cindy and Martin Brandt, brothers-in-law and spouses Kent (Carol) Harms and James (Sandy) Harms; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
Preceded in death by mother Patty Herrington and grandparents.
Celebration of life to be held in the spring, hopefully close to Jeff’s birthday.
