Jeanne M. Wilson, 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 25, 2024 in Lincoln, NE.

Jeanne was born on July 19, 1950, to John C. and Ina P. (Gibbs) Zabel in Big Springs, NE. Jeanne was an only child. What she lacked in siblings she made up for in friends. She was known for her laid back lifestyle and quick wit making it easy for her to make and keep friends for a lifetime. Jeanne married Rod Wilson on June 2, 1990, in Lincoln, NE. She became an instant mother that day to Erin and Eric. She retired from LT&T, and then from Home Depot and UNL. Jeanne had a love for buttons, cats, and buying gifts for friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Erin (Justin) Foxhoven and Eric Wilson and her grandchildren Ian and Layla Foxhoven, special cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Rod (May 31, 2017).

Celebration of life will be on Friday, April 5 at 2pm at the chapel in First Plymouth Church. Please use the west or south entrances.

Jeanne was passionate about finding a cure for Huntington’s Disease. Please send memorials to Hereditary Neurological Disease Centre, 9300 East 29th North, Wichita, KS 67226.

    My condolences to the family of Jeanne. She and her parents were our close neighbors in Big Springs. Remember Jeanne growing up, A very sweet neighbor girl 🙏🙏

    So sorry to here this news.
    Jeanne was my classmate k to 2nd grade then again 9th to 12th. Our Mothers decide we needed to take dance class at around 11 or 12 yrs old. Jeanne was my partner for these classes. She was a very smart wonderful person. My condolences to her family.

    Jeanne and Rod were our neighbors on Claremont St for many years. Jeanne and Rod were always our fun neighbors and felt like part of our family. She will very be solely missed as she was always happy, a big smile and very witty🤪loved her❤️
