Jay Arlin Thody

On Thursday, April 28, 2022, Jay Arlin Thody, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, died at the age of 88. He was born on January 16, 1934, in Shelby, Montana. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Korean War. He worked for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Landscape Services for over 30 years. He and his wife Maxine built their own house in Waverly, Nebraska, where they raised their three sons. 

Jay was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He is survived by his wife Maxine, sons Tyler (Chris) Thody, Arlin (Krissy) Thody, and Adam (Kim Stuhr) Thody. He leaves nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 14410 Folkstone Street, Waverly, Nebraska. 

The family wishes memorials be directed to CHI Hospice, First United Methodist Church in Waverly, or a charity of your choice.
