Frank Robert Faughn Jr.

featured image

In loving memory of Frank Robert Faughn, Jr., we are saddened to announce his passing on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the age of 73.

The heart of a good man is reflected in his actions as he brings good things out of the good stored in his heart. Frank was a good man. A good older brother to Kathy (LeBaron), Mike, Don, Paul, and Julie (Krenk). A good friend, tax man, devoted Christian, bowler, Husker fan, listener, breakfast maker, Keno player (maybe…), and a cherished husband and father as well as a proud grandfather. He was a blessing to his family and treasured his friendships dearly. He was a man of integrity who had a big laugh and a gentle spirit.

To quote The Beatles, “Though I know I’ll never lose affection. For people and things that went before. I know I’ll often stop and think about them.  In my life, I’ll love you more”.

Loving you more and holding our memories close,
Minde, Kevin, Grant, Barrett & Brody Stone
Jarrad, Kimberlee, Leland, Lynae & JaRon Faughn

Our comfort comes from knowing he is being welcomed home with open arms by his beloved Coleen, his parents Frank and Florence and the God who loves him.

“Jesus said, ‘I am the resurrection, and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.” John 11:25-26

Please join us for a Rosary, Friday March 21st at 10:00 a.m. and a Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church at 9101 South 78th Street, Lincoln.

Please direct memorials to the family. A memorial brick will be purchased for the new baseball stadium at Norris in honor of Frank and Coleen and donations will be put toward player scholarships for Omaha and Hickman/Norris student athletes.

I had the great learning pleasure of working with Frank while he was at LOMR. As this memory says so beautifully, he was a Good Man… smart, supportive no matter what, always found the positive in any tough situation. I learned a lot from Frank personally and professionally. He was a blessing to so many, including me, and I’m grateful for having worked with him.

Frank was the financial guy at LOMR while I was residential director (1975-1980). He was the rock of the agency, and when things seemed to be flying apart, Frank was the calm one, the problem solver. His humor and good will was contagious. He was one of the best people I ever worked with. May he rest in peace.
