Dwayne Elbert Reed 11

Dwayne Reed II, of Malcolm, NE, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 20, 2025 surrounded by family and friends. A service celebrating his life will be held in Malcolm at the Malcolm United Methodist Church on Monday, November 24 at 2:00pm. Immediately followed by a dessert reception at the church.

Dwayne was born in Lincoln, NE to Dwayne and Donna Reed on September 28, 1948. Along with his brother’s Dan and David and sister Diana. Dwayne worked as a crane operator for many years before starting a janitorial company with his wife, Sandi. Dwayne was a well respected musician who played guitar and bass with many people and bands. From his teenage years in a family band with his mother, father, and brother David, to his own family band with his wife Sandi, including 3 generations. The family spent many weekends playing dances and attending country music festivals across the midwest. Dwayne was a dedicated member of the Lincoln Eagles Club where he spent time playing music and dancing. Family was the most important to him and he loved spending time with everyone.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his wife of over 54 years, Sandi Reed. Survived by his loving children: James Reed, Angela (Mike) Kucera, Cynthia (Mark) Petersen. Grandchildren: Michael(Ashley), Esha(Chance), Jason, Shanda, Chealy, James. Great grandchildren: Edyen, Carsten, Cansais, Makai, and Ronin.

    Sending condolences to the family you are in my thoughts and prayers loved and enjoyed listening to the family band over the years. Glad I was able to visit with my cousin(Dwayne) when I moved back to Nebraska from Washington state. He will be missed by all. RIP Cousin
