Darrell Eugene Lichty

Darell E. Lichty was born on November 23, 1942, and passed away on December 11, 2024, age 82. He was born in Walton, Nebraska, to Ivan G. and Luella (Anderson) Lichty, the 6th of 7 children. He was proceeded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Richard, Phyllis, Margaret (Peggy) and Douglas Lichty.

Darrell is survived by his daughter, Victoria (Vicky) Hessheimer, her husband, Mike, and their two daughters and families: Lucretia and Casey Allee, and their 4 children, and Abri and Joe Brown and their son. Darrell is survived by his sister, Patricia Garcia and her husband, Leonard, as well as his brother, Ivan D. Lichty, and his wife, Karen. Additional survivors include a host of nieces and nephews.

Darrell worked several long-time jobs in his career but was proud of the fact that he worked for Burlington Northern Sante Fe for several years, as well as the University of Nebraska. Darrell loved watching old Western shows and movies on TV. He especially enjoyed watching any college football games, especially the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service will be held in the Spring of 2025, followed by burial of the cremains at Roca Cemetery.
