Connie Kathleen (Patocka) Gaskill
August 18, 1950-June 9, 2024
Connie was born on August 18, 1950 in David City, Nebraska to Mamie and Otto Patocka. She was a graduate of Aquinas High School in 1968.
Connie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing games, and watching her favorite soap opera Young and Restless.
Survivors include her husband Larry Gaskill of Lincoln, Nebraska, son Brian Gaskill and children Ella Kathleen Gaskill and Julian Gaskill, son and daughter in law Craig Gaskill and Cathy Harrington of Omaha, Nebraska, and Adam Gaskill of Lincoln.
Survivors also include her sister in law Delores Patocka (Ron’s wife) of Norfolk, Nebraska, Linda Patocka (Lloyd’s wife) of Columbus, Nebraska, her brother Paul Patocka and sister in law Deb Lassek of Columbus, Nebraska, Karen (Patocka) Hoffman of Omaha, Nebraska, and many many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Connie was proceeded in death by her brothers Duane Patocka of Pennsylvania, Ron Patocka of Norfolk, Nebraska, Lloyd Patocka of Columbus, Nebraska, Gary Patocka of Omaha, Nebraska, Rick Patocka of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Danny Patocka of Omaha, Nebraska, and her sister Janis (Patocka) Staggs of David City, Nebraska.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 13th from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm at Moonshiners Saloon, 1101 Arapahoe Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68502.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family will be used for charities chosen by the family at a later date.

Dear Larry, Brian, Jenny, Craig, Adam & Family: I was very shocked to learn of Connie’s passing. She was a wonderful friend and co-worker at the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services-Lincoln Office. My deepest condolences to you all as well as my thoughts and prayers.
To Larry, Brian, Craig, Adam and family; I am shocked to hear of Connies passing, i am devastated to lose such a wonderful friend. Connie loved her family so much. She always has a smile for everyone she met. She was so proud of her Czech heritage. She always lended an ear if someone needed to talk. I will miss our monthly lunches. She talked so much about her beloved grandchilden.God has her now. I just wished we had a few more years with her. I express my sincere condolences to everyone who knew her.
Connie was one of the smartest ones in high school. I always enjoyed talking with her!
