Coleen Marie Faughn

featured image

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Coleen Marie Faughn (Triggs) on Friday, January 17, 2025, at the age of 73.

“Family and friendships are two of the greatest facilitators of happiness.”
-John C Maxwell

Throughout the years, this is how she created her happiness and became a cherished wife, loving mother, proud grandma, and a friend to so many.

She married her beloved Frank Faughn Jr. on November 13, 1971. Out of their love came Minde and Jarrad, and her happiness grew. Throughout the years of games, recitals, events, and family gatherings, many friendships were built, good times were had, and many cherished memories were made. This only increased as her family grew again with Minde, Kevin & their 3 boys, Grant, Barrett & Brody Stone, and with Jarrad, Kimberlee & their 3, Leland, Lynae & JaRon Faughn.

We are all so lucky to be a part of her happiness and to know her kindness, love, friendship and laughter.

Friends and family are warmly invited to join in a celebration of Coleen’s life in an open house Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Cappy’s Hotspot & Bar (5560 S. 48th St, Lincoln).

A private family Mass will be held to honor Coleen’s memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Heartland Cancer Foundation.

Although we mourn the loss of her empty seat at the table or in the stands, our hearts will mend, knowing her love and spirit will forever illuminate our hearts.

Coleen was a great friend to me and her of her second family at Cappy’s, I will miss her immensely. Coleen was ALWAYS happy, go with the flow and laugh all of the time. You knew when she arrived until the moment she left. She was so proud of her family and her grandchildren Coleen and Frank aways brighten the room when they walked in and put a smile on our faces. Coleen will be missed.

We became friends with Colleen 2 years ago when we moved to Lincoln. She was so much fun, a joy to be around. We really cherish the memories (although wish there could have been many more years) we made with her. Our sympathy to all the family. Wayne and Tommie Miles

I am sorry for the loss of Coleen and Frank. I did not learn of Coleen’s death until I read Frank’s obituary today. I worked with Frank at LOMR/Region V many years ago and reconnected with him in recent years when he was my brother’s roommate at Lancaster Rehab. Frank was always a character at work-fun and funny. With sincere sympathy for both of your losses.
