Casey Lee Musgrove

Casey Lee Musgrove, 31, of Lincoln, passed away Tuesday December 12, 2017. He was born October 27, 1986 in Lincoln to Julie (Musgrove) Phillips and Robert Patlan. He had a natural aptitude for computer technology. He felt that contributing to The Bay charity was a worthwhile endeavor. He had been trying to overcome obstacles and was looking forward to the possibilities that his future held.

Preceded in death by his father Robert Patlan, his grandfathers Jim Musgrove and Frank Rodriguez. He is survived by his daughter Rayne Musgrove, mother and stepfather Julie and Matt Phillips, sister America Reid, brothers Stormy Overton, Joseph Overton, and Robert Patlan jr., grandmothers Connie Richards, Virginia Patlan, and Cindy Musgrove, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His family would like to recognize Rayne’s mother, Jessica Scanlon, and a grandfather figure, Tom Keller, for the special roles they had in Casey’s life.

A private graveside service was at Wyuka Cemetery, 3600 O Street in Lincoln, Nebraska.

A memorial gathering was at the Lincoln FireFighters Reception Hall at 241 Victory Lane, Lincoln on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for all friends and family.  Many wore a band t-shirt to honor Casey’s love of music.

    I am so sorry to hear about Casey! My son was friends with Casey, and it is so hard to lose a son, father and friend when way too young! Thinking of the family and especially Rayne!

    I am sorry to hear about Casey he lived with our family when he was still in school he was to young to leave us. My prayers for go out to the family.
