Brandon Dainis Ziemelis
Brandon Dainis Ziemelis, 38, of Lincoln, passed away on November 2nd, 2020. He was born on October 15th, 1982 to Sharol D. Murrell and Ilmars Ziemelis.
He was a loving father and son. The pride of his life were his daughters and family above all. He loved collecting antiques; he always knew how to find valuable and beautiful items, and dreamed of opening an antique shop. He had a kind and generous personality, and a smile that lit up the room. Brandon was a unique individual that could be easy friends with anyone, and held no judgement or ill will in his heart.
Brandon was a plumber, taught by his father and recently wanted to open a plumbing business for ex-convicts. As a former convict himself, he easily sympathized and understood the struggle of working after incarceration and hoped to help others in the same situation.
He is survived by his parents, Sharol D. Murrell and Ilmars Ziemelis; step-father Doug Murrell, step-mother Donna Ziemelis, his paternal grandmother, Austra Ziemelis, half-sister Sylvia Holloway, step-sister Roxana Woodcock, step-brothers Alex Murrell and Ben Murrell, daughters, Samara Ross-Ziemelis and Persephone Mulske, the lifelong friend and mother of Samara, Megan Ross, as well as countless cousins and friends.
A memorial will be held from 1 pm to 4 pm at his family’s home, 7041 Colby Street, Lincoln, on Saturday, November 7th. Our family kindly asks you to consider donating to Shatterproof, a nonprofit organization that focuses on ending the stigma and struggle of drug abuse.

So very sorry all my prayers are with you
Scott and I are so sorry for your loss our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family🙏
I worked with Brandon for 2 years at Hartley Elementary. I must tell you that in my 46 years of teaching Brandon ranks near the top of my favorite students to work with. He had a great sense of humor and was so incredibly bright. To this day I think of him often. I can’t imagine how difficult this must be for you.I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I know he will be missed. You are in my thoughts.

I am so struck with sadness and pray he is in a better place. He kept saying he was ready and I was scared it would happen! If only I was with him a little while longer.God knows this is hard for all of us! He was a awesome, humorous humble soul. I only wish I could have seen him happy. I’m glad to say at least I was able to have him in my life! To all on here hurt. Like I told him. He was loved!
Words will not express the waves you must be going through. Prayers are with you death is only unfair to the living but the depth of ther pain is a testament to the depth of the love.
