April became a very close friend shortly after I moved into Burke Plaza. She introduced herself to me & we just clicked immediately. She was very dear to me & she got me involved in the “food net” activity, shuffleboard & made me feel like I was “at home”!! I will miss her friendship very much. My condolences’ to all her family. Sincerely, Joanne Herman.

Yes I am thy Sister in Beta Sigma Phi. You were respected by many by your work ethic and how you managed to do so much in the many volunteer organizations you helped. If we needed a meeting place … April would provide us one. We could always count on her. You will be missed by your family & friends but know you are organizing committees with a heavenly gavel. Rest well my friend.

I (and my late husband, Karl) have had the privilege of knowing April (and Andy) for many years. I worked with April at Data Source Media and kept in touch for years. Karl and Andy (and Roger) worked together at the City of Lincoln. Prayers and Blessings for wonderful memories to the family. Isaiah 41:10.

I knew April for over 55 years, starting with when she was the manager at Goodrich Dairy and I was an employee. She never met a stranger and therefore had many many friends. Even after I moved to North Carolina, we visited each other regularly and kept in close touch. I will miss my cherished friend and I know so many more will miss her too. My sympathy to her daughter and son and their families. – Pam Ballard

My brother, Roger is married to April’s daughter, Teri. We had similar interests and became good friends. We both enjoyed Elvis music and saw each other at concerts. She had a wonderful time at her 80 th birthday with family and friends.
