Anne Baker
Anne Baker, 82, died Monday, March 11, 2019. Born in Richmond, Indiana to Emmett J. and Roberta J. (Brooks) Wright. Graduated from Centerville, Indiana High School.
Arts and crafts were one of her hobbies and she made the family Christmas card for over 50 years. Hand-painted eggs on the lawn at Easter were the hit of the neighborhood. Travel was always a joy. She has been in every state of the United States and in most of the Canadian provinces and territories.
Foreign visitors, including three exchange students, were always welcome in the home.
Anne was most comfortable in the kitchen; sharing her love and affection through innumerable meals with good food and good friends. Working in food settings, including fifteen years running consessions for teachers, students and athletic events at Lincoln High, was always a joy. She was known for the variety of salads she served to teachers during lunchtime. She loved babies and young children – helping many get a warm and caring start in life. Exploring connections between people was important. She saw all of us as a part of a broader community.
Survived by Maurice, her husband of 61 years, son Kyle (Demarie) Baker, Monroe, Wisconsin; daughter Cora Lou Gupton (Scott), Commerce City, Colorado; daughter, R. Brooke Baker (Cal Zunt), Lakewood, Ohio; grandchildren, Shelby Gupton, Donovan Baker, Sullivan Baker; brother-in-law William Taylor, sisters-in-law Carolyn Wright and Ann Hart.
Preceded in death by parents, sister, Marcia Taylor and brother, Mark Wright; step-father, Robert Sheffer.
Cremation. Celebration of Life 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 30th at St Paul United Methodist Church, 1244 M Street. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charity of your choice.

Condolences for Anne Baker
Pastor Brooke, you and your family are in my heart and mind. Love to all.
Uncle Maurice, Our hearts and prayers are with you and the family at this difficult time. I have such fond memories dating back to when we visited you all in New Jersey, and the times that we were all together when you all came to visit. I always looked forward to the Christmas Card each year, wondering what goody would be included. I still hang those ornaments on our tree each year. ~Bob and Terri French~

Maurice,
Sorry to hear about the loss of Anne. I did not know her well, but she always seemed like a loving and caring person. Our prayers are with you and your family in this time of sorry.
Maurice – We were so sorry of Anne passing. We haven’t seen you for so long but have thought about you guys o ver the years.
Anne was so active when David was at Lincoln High School with her working concessions and etc. Working for you at the Faculty Senate is when I first met Anne at one of the Chancellor’s dinners. You were an awesome boss and Bill remembers you coming to his shop as well. Thoughts and prayers go to you and the children and grandchildren. So hope you are healthy and doing well. Again, Anne was a very nice and caring lady and we were honored to have met her. Peggy and Bill Carson. Please take care of you too!!!
