Alma Elaine Ready, 82 of Lincoln, NE. went to be with the Lord on December 6, 2025.

She was born in Tahlequah, Ok. to Ralph and Lorene Renfro.

As a young child, she took piano lessons and became passionate about playing classical, Gospel, and many other genres of music. She loved playing for her church services, Christmas concerts at Union Manor Apartments where she resided, and for her family and friends.

She attended Northwestern State College in Alva, OK, where she met her future husband, Dan Ready. They welcomed two children into the world, Lori and Hal. They lived in many places before settling in Lincoln, NE. For most of her life, she enjoyed working with people with disabilities. After her first granddaughter was born, she started an in-home daycare. She loved spending time with children.

She loved being a wife and mother, and her greatest joy was becoming a grandmother, they were so special to her.

She enjoyed family celebrations and get-togethers..

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dan, and her brother, Ralph Renfro JR.

She is survived by her sister Lynn (Steve) Spore of Port Vila, Vanuatu; sister-in-law Dianne Renfro of Chase, KS; sister Lawanna Bogia of Topeka KS; brother Danny (Terri) Renfro of Macksville KS; son Hal (Tami) Ready and daughter Lori Rocke, both of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren Danny, Jake Ready of Lincoln NE; and Kristyn Hajek of Elkhorn NE.

A private memorial will take place 11:00-2:00 on Saturday, January 10 at Southlake Village in Lincoln, NE.
