“Bill” Egon William Fagerberg Jr.

Egon W. (Bill) Fagerberg, Jr., 82, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2021 with his wife Soni by his side.  He was born February 3, 1939 in Lincoln to Egon & Marguerite Fagerberg, Sr.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, sons David and Steve and brother John of Punta Gorda, FL. Bill is survived by his wife Soni of Lincoln, daughter Lynda Fagerberg, Lincoln, sisters Janice (Gary) Ossenkop, Lincoln, Denise (John) Tiller, Temple Terrace, FL, Kevin (Nancy) Fagerberg, Lincoln; grandsons Andy & Joe Haldeman, numerous cousins, nieces, nephew and extended family.

Bill retired after 47 yrs with the NE Department of Roads, Information Systems.  Military service with USMC & NE Marine Corps Reserves ( Past Commandant).  Bill was very active in the Methodist Church, a lifelong choir member; most recently a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.  Bill was an avid sailor and golfer; only health issues would deprive him of these favorite activities.

A Celebration of Life and Love with immediate family and close friends at future date.

Memorials are suggested to Lincoln Capital Humane Society, or to the family for future designation

    Bill really “stepped up” when it came to leading and helping with the Class of ’56 Reunions. His energy was amazing and he made those incredibly complicated events happen. Thanks to Soni for her understanding and patience during those months of planning. So sorry for the family’s loss!
