Connie Lucile Lahm
Connie Lucile Lahm, 66, passed away on January 26th, 2021 in Denton, NE.
Connie was born June 21, 1954 to Harry (Richard) and Maxine Laschanzky. She attended high school in Fairmont and continued her education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she graduated with a degree in Elementary Education.
She worked for Burlington Northern as a carman welder at the Havelock shop. She also worked as a substitute teacher for LPS and surrounding schools where she loved working with kids.
She was an avid animal lover – cats, dogs, horses, donkeys, pigs, birds, you name it, she loved it! In her prime, she loved bowling, and continued that hobby on with her son, Pat. She enjoyed watching football (college and NFL) and making bets with Pat and Amanda about the games. For the past year and a half, the light of her life has been her grandson, Pete. She looked forward to watching him on Tuesday evenings while Pat and Amanda went bowling.
Connie is survived by her son, Pat (Amanda) Lahm and her beloved grandson Pete; brother Larry Laschanzky, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry Laschanzky and Maxine Laschanzky, brother Bruce Laschanzky, and friend Terry Terpsma.
A celebration of life will be held a later date.
