He is survived by his wife of 49 years Connie Bashore, three children Jeff, Joey, and Jenny, sister Ellen Bashore Nisely, two granddaughters Rebecca and Raechel Bashore, and several nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed Nascar, camping, fishing, and boating with his family and friends.

He picked a great day to leave this life, as we always called him Patriot Joe. What an awesome man!
Love you Daddy. You were a great father. You tough me many of things in life. I will always cherish our life together. Days will not be the same nor holidays. Going to the lake will be hard and NASCAR will suck. I’m going to miss our time together. Love you so much. We will take good care of mom don’t worry. You can be at peace now. Your baby girl!!
