Condolences for Dixie Lee Carr
“Another Lincoln High Job Well Done.”
Dixie was a wonderful, beautiful lady. She will be greatly missed. Dixie was a second mother to me growing up. I remember Dixie,John and I going Goodwill shopping or maybe a yard sale. She always liked a bargain. I did too. Ill never forget how CLEAN she kept her house especially the room with the WHITE couch. LOL I’ll miss her good talks and advice. I pray for your family now and always. Thanks Joe,Ingrid and Rick for sharing your family with me.
Thank You.
The loss of your brother,
John Carr, and Mom Dixie
In a couple weeks time is too much to imagine.
Your mom was so kind to us as kids and
I always held her in extremely high regard.
Joe, we were sad to hear of your recent losses. Know that we’re thinking of you and hope there are better days ahead. Stay tough, we know you can do it.
I am so sorry for your loss. You might think this is weird but, I believe I was named after your mother. Here is the story. My mother also went to LHS, in the later 50’s. I had asked her why she named me DIXIE Lee. Her response was always the same. “ I was named after a dear friend I had in high school”. Your mothers obit. Is what my Mother also was known for. My thoughts and prayers. To you and your family.
I’m so sorry to read in the paper of Dixie Carr’s death. I visited her many times here in Lincoln when I did IHCC visitations. She was so sweet and Truly Loved the Lord. We had many nice talks.
When she moved the last time I lost touch where she was. I also saw Johns death but didn’t have any phone numbers to reach your. I’m so sorry may the Lord comfort you at this time of your losses.
I miss her also and cherish our memories.
With Sympathy, Jan Larsen
I remember Dixie from growing up in Eagle. She was always so kind. May you find peace in your memories.
Dixie will be missed so much by everyone that had the privilege to know her. It was in the later years of both of our lives that we became friends. After some “table changes” for her here at Gramercy Hill, she joined us at our table. My husband, Merle passed away a few months later and she was a great comfort to me.
Her love for her family was so deep and always so evident. Joe, you and Ingrid were the light of her life. Thank you for being such a good son throughout your entire life.
Charlie and Miss Priss, our dear cats, provided endless conversations for us. If our animals do indeed precede us to Heaven, Miss Priss will be so glad to see her.
Joe, take solace in the wonderful fact you were her joy in life, and I know in these past months you eased her last days in every way you could.
