Betty was my friend and I worked for her as a volunteer at the prairie garden at Pioneers Park. I will miss her funny comments, good homemade mid-day snacks and abilities as an educator and fellow gardener. So glad to have known and worked for her. The place won’t be the same but her spirit will be there watching over us. My deepest sympathy for you and your family.

Betty and I went way back. Her mom and my aunt were friends and met up in Loup City when they were there visiting extended family. They eventually moved there. We attended high school and after graduating went separate ways. It is hard to believe that she is gone. Wherever she is she has probably already made lots of friends.
