George Stephens Klinker

George Stephens Klinker, age 74, passed peacefully on Friday morning, February 15^th, 2019. George was born on December 4, 1944 in Illinois. He was a longtime resident of Lincoln, Nebraska.

George was dearly loved by his wife Patti Klinker, daughter Melonie and significant other Mike, son Stephen and wife Candy, grandchildren Heather, Kayla and Kira and many other loving family and friends.

George lived life to the fullest. He had many hobbies but to know him was to know that he was no stranger to the open road on 18 wheels, as a trucker, or on two wheels as a motorcyclist. Through his passions of trucking, riding a motorcycle and his gift of gab, George didn’t know a stranger. He would sit with you and talk for hours and sometimes those exchanges led you to his stories of “somewhere between here and there at mile marker 283.” George loved many things and one of those included getting up early on Saturday or Sunday and heading down to his favorite café where he would grab his breakfast, a cup of coffee and a conversation.

George had a very kind heart and quick wit. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. May he be at peace on the roads of Heaven.
