Helen “Irene” Luick
Helen went by her middle name “Irene” all of her life because she liked her middle name better than her first name. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend. She had a kind and beautiful heart and she showed that to everyone she met.
Irene was born on October 9, 1951 in Lincoln to Clyde and Rose (Hall) Logan. She came from a big family with many siblings. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1970. After high school she worked for Globe Laundry, became a wife and mother. She was married to Tom Luick on July 28, 1970. After her first child was born she became a homemaker at which she became proficient quickly. She had three children Sherri, Carla, and Brian. They were her pride and joy. She passed away on January 2, 2018.
Irene will be immensely missed by all who knew her. Until we see her again in heaven she will remain in our hearts. We love you forever Irene.
Irene is survived by her husband Tom Luick of Lincoln, Nebraska; daughters Sherri Whelan of Lincoln and Carla Luick of Saint Louis, Missouri; sisters Kathy Schafer of Lincoln and Sarah Barry of Loup City, NE; granddaughter Chelsea Whelan of Lincoln; and many nieces and nephews.
