Michael Edward Rathbone was born on August 6, 1959, to Donald and Evon Rathbone in Lincoln, Nebraska. Mike passed away on April 11, 2026, at the age of 66 in Lincoln.

He loved fishing, camping, and baking desserts. Oh yes, he especially loved playing penny slots at the local casino. Mike was a double amputee, yet he lived alone and was very independent. When he was baking, he would always reach out to friends and family, wanting to share.

Mike is survived by his brothers, Bob and Brian; his nieces, Samantha, Robin, and Brooke; and his nephews, Justin and Jason.

No services are planned. The family will be scattering his ashes at various locations Mike loved. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
