Rick Sheehan

Rick Sheehan – 71 yrs – passed away April 1, 2026 after a long, courageous health battle.
Rick was born September 8, 1954 in Falls City, NE. He served in Infantry & Field Artillery in the U.S. Army from 1972–1980. Rick took his military career seriously and was a very proud soldier & veteran.
Rick married his wife, Chy, of 47 years in September 1978. Together they lived in Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, raising 2 sons and finally settling in Lincoln in 1993.
Rick had a career in building maintenance, beginning with cleaning windows on high-rise buildings in the quad state area. He eventually moved into management & for a time owned his own business.
Rick was preceded in death by son Aaron, brothers Dan & David, and father Mike.
Rick was extremely proud of & fiercely loved his wife, sons, daughter-in-law & 3 beautiful granddaughters.
He is survived by his wife Chy, son Erik & wife Ashley, granddaughters Ellie, Kynlee, & Landrey, mother Ilene Stephens, sister Kathy LaBorde & husband Tim, sister Margaret Janousek & partner Sam, Mother-in-Law Sonya Struthers, step-brothers Chuck Stephens & wife Julie, Jeff Stephens, Joe Stephens and wife Theresa, step-sister Kim Rotundo & husband Rick, step-mother Nancy Sheehan, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces & nephews.
Service will be held Thursday, April 9th at 10:30am at Capital City Christian Church, 7800 Holdrege Street.
Memorials to Tunnel to Towers, or to the family for future designation.
