Jeffrey Ruel Lee

Jeffrey Ruel Lee of Adams passed on to the other side of life on March 28, 2026 while comforted by family.
He was initially raised in Bethany, Missouri where his father Dr. Leonard Lee practiced family medicine, but then his dad, his mom Jeanne, and he lived in England while his father was stationed there while serving in the Air Force during the Korean War era. They lived in Chicago for a time while his father completed his residency in Internal Medicine. Afterwards, the family settled in Lincoln in 1958, and then he gained a brother Jonathan. As he grew up, he took an interest in Westerns, nature, history, guns, and knives. He participated in wrestling in high school and graduated from Lincoln Southeast. He worked on a ranch near Hyannis, Nebraska for a time, and he took many classes inNatural Resources at UNL, but he chose to work as an arboristfor LES for several years while starting his family. Jeff also turned his passion for guns and knives into a career working for Acher Arms after working part time helping at gun shows.
Jeff married Robin in 1974, and they had 5 kids: Jason, Krystal, Mandy, Alexandra, and Samantha. He raised his kids to also love nature as they watched a lot of PBS shows like Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom, and he helped them to love their home state as they camped at many of the state parks, even though at least one felt some consternation that he would not cross the state line to go to places like Mount Rushmore.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Jeanne, his grandparents Albert and Edna Lee and Ruel and Bessie Fay,and his in-laws Robert and Doris Heineke.
His remaining loved ones include his wife Robin; children and significant others Jason, Krystal and Kevin, Mandy and Dennis, Alexandra and Austin, and Samantha and Philip; granddaughters Tyrnie, Lillian, Sadie, and Everlee; and his brother and wife Jonathan and Barb.
Per his wishes, a private memorial for his immediate family will happen at a later date.

We had a lot of fun together back when we were young. Alot of good times, good laughs. Many a Saturday morning pheasant hunts. RIP Jeff. May your family know you are in a better place. My deepest sympathies.
We are sorry to hear about Jeff. Our thoughts and prayers are with Robin and the family.

Jeff was my good friend as well as my right-hand man for more than 25 years. His knowledge of knives and black guns was invaluable to me and Acher Arms customers. He was always willing to go the extra mile to help when needed. I have missed our discussions about business and life in general. Go with God my FRIEND. Vicki Longsine
