Frank William Weisbeck

Frank William Weisbeck, 66 of Lincoln, Nebraska, formerly of Piedmont, South Dakota, passed away surrounded by family.

Frank was a hardworking man who built his life with his hands. A skilled concrete specialist, he spent many years working on tilt-up buildings and took great pride in the work he left behind. Frank often joked that he had “laid more concrete than people will ever walk on,” a statement that reflected both his work ethic and the lifetime he dedicated to his craft. Raised in Piedmont, South Dakota, Frank carried the values of the plains with him wherever he went resilience, independence, and a straightforward way of speaking. He was known for telling it like it was, working hard, and never shying away from a challenge.

Outside of work, Frank loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman his entire life and cherished the quiet moments spent in the field or on the water. Frank shared his life with the love of his life, Linda Weisbeck, and his faithful companion, Dave, who were both by his side through life’s journey. Frank’s greatest pride was his family.

He is survived by his son, Nick Weisbeck of Duluth, Minnesota, and his stepdaughter, Jessica Zimbelman of Waverly, Nebraska. He was a proud grandfather to Avery, Johnny, Carson, Charlotte, and Finley, and a great-grandfather to Oliver.

Frank lived his life much like the message of the song Simple Man—to “be a simple kind of man.” He believed in hard work, honesty, and staying true to who you are. He will be remembered as a tough, hardworking man who lived life on his own terms and left behind a legacy of strength, grit, and dedication to family. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. He’s my Dad.

Per his wishes, no services will be held. In keeping with his spirit of generosity, the family asks that donations be made to help the homeless in your local community.
