Milo Lee Fleming

Milo Fleming, 89, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Josie Harper Hospice House, surrounded by family.
Milo was born on February 6, 1937, in Winner, South Dakota, to George and Marie Fleming.
At the young age of 17, he enlisted in the United States Army, dedicating eight years of service to his country.
On November 7, 1959, Milo married Jeanette Kula. Together they shared 65 wonderful years of marriage before Jeanette’s passing on February 5, 2025. Their union was blessed with children, grandchildren, and generations of cherished memories.
Milo spent his working years as a freezer forklift operator. He began his career at the Hinky Dinky warehouse and later retired from Skylark Meat. He was known for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, and deep devotion to his family.
He is survived by his children: Thomas Fleming; Susan (David) Santee; Kristine (Darrin) Skow; and Timothy (Marlene) Fleming; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his siblings: Frank (Dixie) Fleming, Carl Fleming, and Pearl (John) Sorensen; along with many nieces and nephews.
Milo was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeanette; his daughter, Peggy; his grandchild, Eric; his brother, George; his parents; and several other dear relatives.
Milo is inurned at the Omaha National Cemetery beside his beloved wife Jeanette.
